I am 22. I first noticed the lymph node in my neck when I was 20...after a bad hangover.. (college lol). Anyway...I saw the doctor twice during that first year and they said it was nothing. It will occasionally get bigger do to bad bug bites, and colds. However it will never get smaller than an inchxinch in length. And I can only truly feel it when I turn my head completely to the right. Its not painful...I dont know how to gauge the hardness of it but I do know its not a cyst because I have had and felt those before. I am nervous to go back to the doctor because I think they will just shove me off again. anyway here are my questions for everyone.
1. Is it wierd that I can only feel how big it is when I turn my neck? ( I am starting to be able to feel it without turning my neck but you can only feel like a half inch. now I would say when I turn my neck it is a little over 3 fingers wide and shaped like an oval.)
2. Should I see the doctor again? What should I say to get them to take me seriously.
3. I have had hives everyday for the past 3 years....could it be related?
* forgot to say its on the back right side of neck just below hairline.
If anyone has experienced these issues please help me out...Im scared...but if it is cancer or something serious i would rather know now and take care of it than 10 years from now. Thanks for your replies in advance.
