Connection with Hypothyroid and Low WBC?

I was just in the hospital with severe back pain (thinking it was one of the many kidney infections i always get) - but it ended up being muscular. I found out my thryroid medication wasn't high enough and I was severely underactive.

My doc's also noticed my WBC was 3.2 on the low side and attributed it to my hypo-ism. Now that Im searching for info on it I cant find anyone that has information on a connection between the two?!

I ended up getting really sick again and went to the ER 2 weeks later and my WBC was down to 2.6! The doc didn't say it at the time - i got it on my discharge papers.

So again my question is - "Is there a known link between low thyroid and a suppressed WBC, Bone Marrow and Immune System?
