Bruise that does not seem to fade... 2 months in

I bumped my shin about 2 months ago (how, I cannot remember).

For about a month, the bruise was quite "deep" in colour and at that time, if I were to push my finger into my flesh, it would leave an "imprint" of my finger which would last for a few minutes.

In that first month, it was painful, but on a scale of 1-10 only a 2-3.

I continue to play regular sports from date of injury to present.

The bruise, now in my second month, has become increasingly painful, on a scale of 1-10, 3-4.

Although the colour has faded, I can actually feel the pain when i walk.

What is this? A hematoma, depressed bruise? What could this possibly be? Is it superficial or is it something internal, i.e. liver? Diabetes?

I am a reasonably health 24 year old female. I eat well and drink lots of fluids.

I do not have a history of diabetes in my family. Only high-blood pressure exists on my father's side.

I do bruise easily, however, bruises heal quickly.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
