So here is a quick summary, 2 years ago dx with Giardia and Blasto. currently still have blasto. and have been told by many doctors most people have that type of parasite and they dont believe it causes symptoms. I took several rounds of antibiotics, got yeast infections and one bladder infection. Then dx with SIBO and took 2 rounds of antibiotics. I have had every GI test done with all results being normal. I continue to suffer symptoms however they have changed over the past 2 years. I continue to have digestive issues (bloating, indigestion, cant process carbs or sugar, burping, gas). I also am extremely fatigued, hair loss, poor appetite, adema mainly in legs, metallic/ sour taste in mouth with lips sometimes feeling sunburnt and swollen, some ringing in ears, shortness of breath, brain fog. I have read a lot about B12 deficiency and wondering if that might be a cause of my symptoms. Also wondering if I still might have some bacteria overgrowth. Not sure if lack of B12 can cause that much stomach distress and food intolerances. Also, hx of low white blood count. Any direction is appreciated. 2 years and doctors still cant figure it out.
