My daughter was treated for cervical cancer 7 years ago. She had chemo, internal and external radiation. No surgery.
The treatments cured the cancer but ruined her bone marrow. Her health was never good, but acceptable for the last 6 1/2 years. Last fall she became very tired, pale, muscle aches, headaches, sleeplessness, just felt like crap. Her doctor did a blood test and immediately sent her to the hospital for 3 units of blood. That was last March. She was diagnosed by 2 blood specalists with Aplastic Anemia in May. She had been getting blood on a regular basis. She stated a the treatment that was to be done 4 times, she got 3 treatments done, and became septic and died on July 27th, unexpectedly. Have you ever heard of anyone getting Aplastic Anemia from treatments for cancer??
