I have been dealing with moderate to severe, chronic low back pain for over 1 1/2 years. I've been to a chiropractor, several doctors, two physical therapist, a rheumatologist and.. NOTHING.
I just saw a new Sports Med doctor and he ordered a new MRI. I got it back and it said I have several "schmorls" and scheuermann disease (sp?).
Of course, now I'm freaking out since I'm reading all kinds of info on it online.
I plan to go back to the ortho next week and go over the tests.
But, in the meantime, can anyone tell me what this means for me?
I'm 33 years old, so I'm certainly done growing... so, no back brace I assume? I've done 2 rounds of physical therapy and while it's helped it certainly hasn't totally alleviated my pain.
Has anyone found relief with this condition?
