I was diagnosed with Scheuermann's disease when I was 15yrs old. I am now 38, and for the past 10 yrs, I have been getting chest pain increasing over time.
I can no longer lay on my left side in bed, as this bring on a type of " feeling " that my heart is slowly being restricted/tied up. It feels like I am having a heart attack ( eventhough I've never had a heart attack - figure of speech ) I am also unable the lay on my back for long periods of time. When I go to bed, I lay on my right side in the fetal position.
Is there anyone else out there that has these symptoms aswell. I have been advised by a Dr a LONG time ago, that it is due to the nervous system that connects the spin to the front of my body.

I feel the same thing when I'm laying on my left side as well, and I'm starting to sometimes feel it if i let my posture sag too much for too long. I straighten up and my upper back cracks a few times and the feeling goes away. Any idea if this needs treatment, or just an unfortunate sideeffect of the disease? Any info you have would greatly help...
