Hello. I am 46 and in Feb I tore my rotator cuff. i had the surgery and my shoulder is good. my pain level was ok for 2 days after the surgery and then i thought life a i knew it had ended. my pain came back presurgery levels. it was right behind my shoulder blade on my left side. my ortho surgeon did a cat scan and it says the following: "there are disc and /or osteophytes (bone spurs) throughout the cervical spine with canal stenosis and neuro foraminal narrowing throughout the cervical region." So in essence my spine is too narrow and it is pressing on nerves throughout the cervical spine. I am incapacitated. Now for the complications. If I have to crawl into work and lay on the floor to do my job I must go back to work by May 20th. I am going to be termed on April 22 but as long as I go back within 30 days I keep my benefits which include insurance that has a 2 yr preexisting clause if I have to be rehired. ( i have been there longer than 2 yrs) so I must go back to work may 20th there are no other options. My insurance will go to cobra rates on May 1 and I can not afford to eat and have medical ins so the ins will be lost. I have an appt with a neurosurgeon on 4-10. I will try physical therapy but I don't see how that is even possible. My symptoms are as follows; I have stabbing pain in my left shoulder that will bring me to my knees. It goes down my arm in a line that i can trace. Where it stops on the other side of my arm the pain starts but on this side the arm spasms like it is having a siezure. Then my middle finger then my index finger then the base of my palm all feel like they have been asleep and are trying to wake up. It hurts. My neck also pops like most people knuckles if I turn it sideways and so does my lower back although I have no lower back pain. My neck also hurts. I can't sit in a chair more than an hour, if I do anything it exasperates the above conditions. Any suggestions on how to get better enough to go back to work or to fix this quickly? thank you
