  • Uveitis can either be idiopathic or can co-exist with autoinmune disease or infection. Have you been diagnosed with Uveitis? What kind? Anterior? Intermediate? Posterior? Uveitis can coexist with autoinmune diseases such as Sarcoidosis, Behcet's, Kawasaki's disease (autoinmune vasculitis) Ankylosing spondylitis, and Arthritis. It is can also appear in people with Mulitiple Sclerosis. Some tests performed to diagnose Autoinmune diseases are the following: (please note that they are not always 100% reliable and often yield false-negative results, especially if you are taking anti-inflamatory drugs such as corticosteroids) Auto Antibody ScreenESR AncaANADsDNAC3 (lupus)C4 (lupus)CRP (c reactive protein)RA Latex If you don't mind me asking... How old are you? Do you have other symptoms in addition to your uveitis? Hope the above helps, Good luck Marisol
