My friend is suffereing from uncontrollable convulsions ( not eliplitic).I dont know if it is related but she has tested positive for an auto immune disease. Here attacks are like this she can feel them coming on. ONce they start shell start shaking all over her body, and it causes intense pain for her. Sometimes her eyes go blurry and other times she spaces out (blacks out) for 30 seconds or so.They are not usually long at all maybe a 3 or 4 minutes. This past weekend she had one for about an hour a half. We took her to the emergency room at our local hospital and they ran a ekg, took blood samples, ran a mri and a cat scan, all to come back with nothing wrong. They admitted her to the hospital so they could run more test. They eliminated MS and seizures, and since then have witnessed her having these convulsions. The doctors have since said this was stress and have recommended a physciatrist. She went to a physciatrist and they said its not a problem they have ever heard of or can treat. They currently have her hook up to an eeg machine for the past 24 hrs hoping that it will tell them something. Has anybody ever heard of this before? And if so what can we do about this?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
