Hello, I have been getting purple-type bruising of my upper and lower eye-lids for around 6 years now. I wake-up in the morning and there it is, I don't beat myself up at nite, I am most certain. In fact no-one hits me it just appears out of the blue and it is really starting to worry me. I did see my optometrist with a really bad purple eyelid and he examined it and told me it was some sort of auto-immune disease but didn't know what the name was. I do have arthritis (both rheumatism and osteo) scoliosis, hypothrodism, and severe muscle pain, which sometimes when my muscles really hurt bad, I get a low grade fever around 100 degrees and swollen glands. I also have night sweats very bad, no matter one blanket or none. Anyhow my family doctor did all sorts of blood work and it all came back normal, but I have been taking Prednisone (due to muscle and joint pain, they thought it would help and it did) on and off for 3 months, to which I found out I am highly allergic to (it gives me hives really bad, trouble breathing). So I do not know what to think or who to have help me. I have been to a rheumatologist who had no clue even. Noone seems to know anything, so I am really hoping that you can shine some light on what it is that I may have. Thanks!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
