I have been sick for a year with fevers, extreme fatigue, joint pain, rashes and tingling in my legs. I was told that I have an auto-immune disease and treating me for Lupus. So, in reality, no diagnosis.
I have stopped working, and most days, can't do anything. As soon as I do, I get a fever and become completely exhausted.
I have been on Prednisone for 5 months but it isn't working. My doctor gave me Plaquinil and I had a severe allergic reaction. Now he wants to put me on Imuran and I don't want to take such serious medication when they I don't have a proper diagnosis.
I was an extremely active person and now lie in bed most days. Does anyone have ANY advice at all. I am at my wits end.

  • Find another Dr.I went through 5 before i found one that helped me.Auto immune diseses are very hard to pinpoint which one you have. There are so many facters when it comes to finding out the one you may or maynot have.Trust me i have been through this.Labs messing up test,False positive test.Drs not knowing enough about autoimmume. The list go one and on.I had positive test for Aps.First test showed no other auto. This is a very confusing time and unless you have a dr. who understands this and you are aware of the autoimmune factors,It will not get any easyier. The best thing you can do is research the crap out of it on line. There is so much to learn about this.Oh yea by the way After finding the right Dr.i ended up not having Aps.But a host of other problems That the first testing missed.Do your research before you take any meds. Why would you want to take anything that is not going to help you,and may even harm you.If i would have listened to first dr . i would have been on drugs i did not need.Hope this helps.
