I'm 16 years old and in fairly good physical condition (I attend the gym around 4 times per week and try to eat well). However, from time to time I get these spells during which my chest and neck tighten up when I inhale, and when this happens it feels like I can't get enough air into my lungs. I can still breath and everything, it just feels kind of constricted. From what I've heard the classic symptoms of asthma are coughing and wheezing, neither of which I experience. However, most sources also say that chest tightening is also a symptom of asthma. Could it be possible for someone to have asthma without the coughing/wheezing symptoms? Asthma is usually defined as something like "repeated occurrences of difficulty with breathing", and that's what I have, isn't it?
