Do you think it's possible....

I'm 16 years old and in fairly good physical condition (I attend the gym around 4 times per week and try to eat well). However, from time to time I get these spells during which my chest and neck tighten up when I inhale, and when this happens it feels like I can't get enough air into my lungs. I can still breath and everything, it just feels kind of constricted. From what I've heard the classic symptoms of asthma are coughing and wheezing, neither of which I experience. However, most sources also say that chest tightening is also a symptom of asthma. Could it be possible for someone to have asthma without the coughing/wheezing symptoms? Asthma is usually defined as something like "repeated occurrences of difficulty with breathing", and that's what I have, isn't it?

Thanks so much for your time.

  • Well I had read your post before but I was in the belief that the conditions as described by you were due to a different health complication and it had nothing to do with asthma. But my younger brother who also has developed complexities which are identical to yours. Even the attending doctoris perplexed with the situation. So really looking forward to answers form others who might have heard something like this.Online fioricet
