Desperately looking for help

My son (6 years old) has pretty severe asthma. He's been to the emergency room a few times and we now have a nebulizer and inhaler at home. His asthma seems to be triggered primarily by colds. Pretty much 100% of the time that he gets a cold the dreaded "cough" starts soon thereafter. He is like 10 for 10 with colds and asthma.
We're really frustrated (and nervous) for his severe asthma attacks. He is too young and we are desperately looking for an alternate natural cure. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

  • My grandson was born with severe allergies and was in and out of the hospital. They ruled it first as classic asthma then found he was allergic all that time to peanut oils/peanuts, not sure what else just remember those. He could just be around or be kissed by someone that had eaten something with the oil in a dressing and he would end up in the hospital with breathing problems. Then all of a sudden he has out grown it or either his immune system got use to it and now can even eat peanut butter sandwiches!!! He was just like your son, inhaler, nebulizer at home, hospital stays the works...now in school and much much better.Good luck with your son.

  • I agree food allergies or intolerances can cause asthma symptoms. I recommend trying a naturopath, acupuncturist, chiropractor or someone who practices NAET. A NAET specialist will pinpoint exactly what your son has an allergy to, and then will clear this from his system. It is gentle, noninvasive, and very effective. www.naet.com for more info. Acupressure would be best for him, due to his young age. Living Pain Free by Dr. Devi Nambudripad has easy to follow diagrams and point location based on various disorders, including asthma. I find this book very helpful, and use acupressure on my kids often. Best wishesDOM
