Twenty four years ago I had Fifths Disease. My children all got the benign symptoms and it ran it's course. Myself on the other hand
became very ill. I was misdiagnosed over and over until my children's Pediatrician saw me. I was so sick for 2 months, my legs swelled & I developed severe arthritis in my knees. They have never been the same since, I definitely would describe myself with mild arthritic knees.
Fast forward to 8/8/13, my Gynecologist prescribed Minivelle for severe hot flashes. Two days into new medication I experience joint pain
and swelling in my knees. Today is 8/28, I am no better; I have gone thru a methyl pred. prescription, I am now on 20mg lasix, try to keep legs elevated and apply Epsom salt.
I believe my Fifths disease has returned when I had a reaction to new medication or I could have Lupus. I am awaiting blood work. Does anyone have any idea? ?
