Not sure what is going on with me...I am in pain in my upper neck, hip, knee, left foot (Upper toe joint), right ankle, and right thumb. I was diagnosed with psoriasis about 2 years ago and have feared developing psoratic arthritis. I have been to my podiatrist about the foot and he did an x-ray, no broken bones and tried to wrap in helped for a bit but came right back after the wrap was off. Have been going to a chiropractor now for about a month for my neck and she has started massage therapy on top of that but nothing is helping. My thumb is slightly swollen and warm to the touch.

It is most painful at night when trying to sleep and first thing in the morning. By about lunch the pain in my hip subsides but feet start to hurt even more. I have an appointment scheduled with my dermatologist on the 15th but don't want to sound crazy if this is not arthritis. Did anyone else's arthritis start out like this???

  • Go see a physiotherapist and get this pain diagnosed. They will give you a stretching and strengthening program to fix the problem.

  • If they will not give you a stretching and strengthening program to fix that problem. I think they will prescribe you a medication, a joint pain relief like Green Lipped Mussel or High Potency Joint Aid to reduce the joint pain you've feel for a better joint health.

If it is arthritis the quicker you get it diagnosed and start on a treatment regime the better off you'll be. You should really get your GP to refer you to a rheumatologist for assessment before deciding on where to go next.

  • I had arthritic tendencies after a second go-around surgery on my left knee.  Along with the usual pain meds post-op, my doc told me to use glucosamine supplements because, besides it would aid in cartilage growth and strength.  The more durable my knee joints were, the lesser the pain...well, except for when bad weather storms came rolling in or the weather dipped.  Does that ever happen to anyone else or is that just me with feeling discomfort the moment the barometric pressures dip??Story aside, I agree with John about possibly seeking out a rheumatologist to help with the pain, or you might look to see if there's a clinical trial going on around you focusing on chronic pains/rheumatology-related issues and such.  I've heard success stories from there, more so because a couple friends of mine did one over at CTT Research nearby our neighborhood.

  • Few months back , my hubby was suffering from Pain in multiple joints , all thanks to his computer programming job and I was very tensed as pain at such an early stage was not a good symptom , then one of my neighbor suggested about a Chiropractic doctor and my hubby is going under his treatment, it is really very effective.

  • Recently I was suffering from terrible pain in my shoulder and neck, I ignored it thinking it is due to continuous sitting in front of computer system, but gradually the pain moved to my hips and knees and I got so frightened that now I have become an arthritis patient at such a young age, but thankfully after consulting a chiropractic I am re leaved from the joint pains.
