Pain in/around joints...

I have alot of issues going on, some diagnosed and some not. These are 3 things that I have or most likely have:

Colitis (They are leaning towards Crohns)
Hypothyroidism (diagnosed)
High Blood pressure

For the past 10 years I have had problems with lower back pain (MRI showing some problems between L4/L5, and I also tend to wake up with a sore ribcage. It hurts to breath, but as soon as I get up and around it passes. The only other time it gives me pain, is if I lay on the couch for tv for a long amount of time. I also have pain in my tailbone (did an MRI that shows nothing wrong). I ache on both sides of the bone, but never both sides at the same time.

Then for the past 3 years I have been getting what I thought was joint pain, but now I am not sure anymore. I have these flares that tend to come and go as they see fit. My fingers will ache, and soon other parts of my body will follow - wrists, ankles knees, shoulder, elbows and so on. After a while the throbbing pain in my fingers will disappear and then my toes might join in instead.

The pain usually starts somewhere between 2-4pm and gradually gets worse as the afternoon turns in to evening. It will last all night and will sometimes makes it hard for me to sleep.

When I get this migratory pain, I am also VERY fatigued. Blood tests show nothing other then a slightly elevated WBCC, but then I have had that for about 4 years now.

Does anyone have any idea what the migratory pain might be? I was thinking enthesitis, but then you would think I would be in pain all day and not only in the afternoon and night....

Any ideas would be appreciated!!!

  • At the end of last summer my son was married and there was occasion to celebrate. Right around the same time, I was suffering terrible neurological pain below where I incurred my SCI. Then again, my husband and I traveled to an all-inclusive in Mexico over the holidays, and again, I suffered terrible neurological pain below where I incurred my SCI. Last weekend I was out with friends indulging and found the next few days to follow, the same terrible neurological pain below where I incurred my SCI.Has anyone else noticed this correlation?
