I am 49 years old and have been an osteoarthritis sufferer for a couple of years now. I take ultram for pain relief. It doesn’t totally remove the pain but at least it makes each day manageable. Now my dilemma is I can’t undergo a knee replacement yet due to my age according to the doctor. Not really sure why. But anyway, since I need to go through some pain reliever meds, can you tell me what else I may take or do for it? Thanks and regards.

  • I suggest you talk to your doctor if you have questions on why you can’t undergo the knee replacement operation yet. Other than taking ultram as well, I sometimes place an ice pack on the affected area to help soothe the pain. You might want to try that.
