Where to begin... over 4 years ago I had afracture in my left hip which started the 5th month of my pregnancy. It was not discovered until after I delivered in April/2004. I went to a Orthopedic..he said continue on with my everyday life..if I am doing an activity and it bothers my hip to back off etc..... so after 7-8 months of still in pain (fractured, looked to have healed) he didn't know what was wrong with me so sent me off to the pain clinic.
I have now been there for over 3 years. few tests run here and there, not showing anything etc.. My last pain clinic appointment (Feb 2008) while he was doing my injections, he said "OH, I can see arthritis more on the left side than on the right" I immediately said "What does that mean?" He said "This is your pain is coming from".
So, a week later I had my yearly pelvic exam and had a full blood work done...my arthritis blood test came back normal. The following week I had my first appointment with a new orthopedic for a osteoma tumor on my right femur. I sat a talked to her about everything...she also did a arthritis blood test and again came back normal.
So..how can my pain clinic doctor "See" arthritis and none of my blood test are coming back positive????
I am in constant pain 24 hours per day..my lower back, my hips (more the left hip) I have bursitis in both of my hips and outside of my thighs. If I sit too long ( I feel like my spine in all crunched together), stand 10 minutes (I want to crawl out of my skin) my back and hips start to hurt so bad, walking..blah, blah, blah...I wake up every 3 hours and have to walk around becuase I hurt so bad. Mornings are my worse.
So, again my new ortho doctor throws her hands in the air (completely baffled) and says lets try physical therapy. Most days I barely make it though my day without adding stress and strain to my muscles, joints and bones.
So today was my first day of PT...she said my right hip and right shoulder are higher than my left side.
Any thoughts and comments..what I need to be asking/demanding from one of my 4 doctors????????
