I recently trapped my little finger in a door handle that twisted (it's hard to explain) and my fingernail is really damaged, at the bottom there is no cuticle left or skin and my nail is pretty much sticking out,and the top of my finger is swollen.I can move it but it is painful. Im not sure whether it is broken or not and I don't know what to do. The day that it happened I went to A and E and they cleaned it and re-dressed it.He said my fingernail may come off, but it hasn't yet, it's just continued to be painful and it bleeds alot.
