I've been sick for about a month now. The symptoms are on and off. One day I'll feel fine and the next I'm not. I'll be minding my own business and out of nowhere I get severe toothache and migrane that is accompanied by my right arm feeling numb and weak and unresponsive. After about a half an hour of this it goes away just as suddenly as it began, and repeats every couple of hours. I really need help, but I can't afford to see a doctor. I need to know what's wrong with me.

I'm a 20 year old male and I don't take any drugs or anything like that.

  • You really need to consult a doctor. Is there a free clinic somewhere near you. If not go to the ER. From what you discribed it may be very serious. Please, seek help.

  • I have the same thing sort of. But my pain is sharp and its bad after it stops I get a real bad headaches. But they arent migrain headaches because I use to have them. My neuro doesnt think my arm is related to my headaches which I dont believe after several thousands dollars of test what he thinks is I am having small strokes. still dont know about my arm tho it goes numb, and feels like it asleep. My friend has the arm thing going on too her doctor said she has cubical tunnel. I have been tested for lyme disease, ms, diabetes, had a nerve conductions study done on my arm and only found I had low blood flow in my elbow. If you find anything out let me know will do the same.

  • Hi millsj, A couple of things: 1st, if you live in the U.S., you can go to almost any clinic, fill out some papers, and get medical service for a very low cost, and sometimes even free service. 2nd, your numbness in your arm. You say that you have migraine headaches. Are you sure they are migrains? Why I ask is, at the search box on this website, type in: pernicious anemia. Look at the information that it lists, and see if this fits your situation. If you start and have headaches that last 24/7, start to have a sore tongue, fatigue getting worse, rapid heartbeat, brain fog, extreme mood changes, your numbness in your arm..getting worse and going into your other arm and legs. If these things start happening...get into see a doctor...in any case, I would see a doctor..let him do some blood tests...get a CBC (complete blood count) that can tell you if you are anemic and usually can tell if other things are going on. The person who is unregistered, who was having some of the same symptoms..you could do the same thing...the sooner that you find what is wrong...the better the chances of getting it fixed. GOOD LUCK...TAKE CARE...SKEETER. :)
