Hi,

I hope someone can help me. I have been suffering with a strange facial twitch whenever I smile. This has been going on for about 8 years now, the doctor can't help me and although it gets slightly better at times it is always there.

It gets worse when I'm anxious and around people because I'm scared they will notice it. But even when I am on my own it happens. I don't drink alot of coffee and get a good amount of sleep so don't know what I can do. Its driving me mad because it sounds so small but it reallt knocks my confidence and makes me avoid social situations.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's so uncomfortable and awkward .... all the help I've heard of is to calm down and not think about it. Even so, I can't help it. All the best.

All the best.I had the same problem for years too, but I found a cure (for me anyway)Magnesium - but you have to take quite a high dose (for me 1200mg spaced out 400mg 3 x per day)It also need to be a good quality magnesium, the results are almost immediate and I have been taking this for about a year now. Hope this helps
