What color should the inside of the anus be?

Sorry for this graphic question, but please bear with me:

If one is to spread open their anus and look into the opening, is it unnatural for the sides/walls to be a dark red/blueish color, or is that normal? I have no pain or bleeding whatsoever, but the walls almost look as if they are bruised or something. It has been like this for quite a long time, yet I am never in any pain nor do I bleed/etc. There are no visible sores/etc., simply this issue of color I would like to verify.

Please remember, I am not talking about the very outside of the anus, but the walls on the inside if you spread it open a bit and look inside.

P.S. I am a 25-year-old caucasian male, heterosexual, etc.

Also note that for a long time I had bad bathroom habits of pushing too hard or staying on the toilet for too long. I also didn't get enough fiber. I have since fixed both issues, however.

Lastly, on rare occasions I enjoy anal stimulation (again, I am heterosexual). It's quite rare, though, so I would find it hard to believe that has caused any sort of long-term tearing.
