I am a 15 year old male. over the last year or so i have experienced blood in my stool every once in a while. but for about the past month or so i have been experiencing constant SEVERE anal bleeding. enough blood to make all the toilet water bright red. and this happend almost every time.

heres some more information if it helps:

i only bleed after passing stool
i do not do heavy lifting or much hard work
i do not have anal sex
i have not seen a docter yet
it is common when i stand up that i get dizzy and feel like im going to pass out (i dont know that this is related)

if you have any information please tell me.

  • You may have inflammatory bowel disease, like ulcerative colitis or crohn’s disease. This involves cyclical periods when your intestines get inflamed and bleed. The loss of blood can causes anemia, low hemoglobin, which would explain your light headedness. I hope you have seen a GI already. You need a colonoscopy to diagnose. Please see a doctor, even if your symptoms go away because they come and go, you get flare ups. Without treatment you will probably have major problems. I could be wrong as well. But that is why you need to see a GI for further investigation.

  • It is very likely a hemorrhoid but any anal bleeding should be checked by a doc for internal bleeding.
