Been diagnosed with a non relaxing sphincter and rectocele
Constant constipation was the complaint.
My diet is good and plenty of water and fluids.
Have done a defogram and had anal manometry test. Colonoscopy came back good.
The Dr.’s only recommendation for me is anal therapy to get my sphincter to relax. I can not afford it and its quite humiliating. I have tried it on two separate occasions and just cant get past the 3rd visit.
My newest issue is below. I actually took these exact words from a previous post that did not have any replys. I generally have 1-2 bowels daily but I have to completely do a workout to get the bowel out of me. My rectum hurts for several hours after I maneuver the bowel out of me. I just get the urge to go but it wont come out without manually removing my bowel.
“The difference in the constipation is that I am feeling incapacitating rectal pain, about the length of my middle finger into the rectum. (As disgusting as this is, I almost always have to use my hands-gloved of course!- to manually evacuate my bowels. Stool always seems to be stuck at that length, and will not move despite what effort I put into straining. On occasion I can feel the rectum closing off at the point where my finger reaches”
I have had constipation issues for years but only within the last 6 months have I had to manually do this. I do not suffer from stomachaches or any other illness. I also do not take any medications. I am 36 yr old female and have had 3 vaginal deliveries with the 1st being 15years ago with an episiotemy.
Today I found Hirschsprung disease. I have requested copies of all of my tests from my doctors and will be making one more attempt at seeing a rectal specialist.
