Painful and bloody bowel movements. Help!

Whenever I have a bowel movement it is extremely painful. The pain isn't in my stomach but right at the anus as it is exiting. It almost feels like it is ripping, though, the pain is excruciating regardless of the size or softness of the stool. I can't help but cry every time because of it. Also, the stool is covered in blood. The blood is not IN the stool, though. After I have had the bowel movement, the tissue is covered in blood, which is bright red, and I occasionally have to use a panty liner in my underwear as the bleeding continues.

Can anyone help with this? A suggestion? Thank you.

  • You need to have a colonoscopy done...I had the same symptoms last year and this year; the first time, I had colon polyps, and this time, I had a very mild case of colitis...and I had more than just blood on the paper, I bled so much that the bowl was full of blood, and now I don't have any problems at all. Please go to the doctor.

  • I know that this one is old but just wanted to share some info I found out. There is a lot of material on internet about anal bleeding and I want to show you some that I managed to find. I think that reading them will help you a lot in overcoming this issue of yours. You have to know that this can become a really big problem in future if you do not treat it on time. So I advise you to do this as soon as possible.
