I am suffering from chronic fissure since last 3-4 years.
Some days are good, some are bad.

I tried all the way, taking laxetive, eats lots of fibers, veg., fruits, water.
But still some days are bad.

I also checked with Doctors in UK & India and they said with chronic fissure.
Lastly I am in US and get checked with Doctor.
He adviced me that if you tried everythingm why to suffer more.
Just get surgery done. It is 20 mins. surgery.
He also told me that my fissure is minor one. he has done surgery for more severe also.

I am still concern about surgery.

Can anyone suggest me if I should get it done or should try other alternative like Aurvedic, Homipathic remedies. How can I get advice on that.

Appreciate feed-back.

  • Have the surgery! I have these ALL of the time, and last summer, had one 3 1/2" long X 2 1/2" wide...literally almost died, as I was unable to either urinate or move bowels X 1 week! Surgery is a MUST, but get a good doc who you trust!!! Also, have them numb you and take the packing out before sending you home, if at all possible, esp. if it is large.Jen

  • Have the surgery! I had it done several years ago and I never had any problems since. It's well worth the little discomfort you feel after the surgery.

Appreciate feed-back. anal fissures are also muscle problems, you must focus in on all of the pelvic floor muscles, stretch and tighten them, patiently until they are all strong and free.

Any Info as I said you can try exercise, the anus is a muscle. Have you checked out dr rudd, of the rudd clinic toronto, he claims he has a better way. He puts a small cut on the other side of the anus, he says this releases the pressure, dose any one have experience at the rudd clinic?
