thought maybe I would post this somewhere else since no one is responding to it.

I have had this problem for a year now, on and off like one day I will have it and the next I won't. My tongue is swollen usually on both sides and it hurts to chew and move the tongue and my throat usually both sides but sometimes just one feels really swollen and espcially to the tough of the throat and I can feel it. I feel like I am going crazy because I have been to the doctor already and he gave me blood tests and everything came back normal and I went to an ear nose and throat doctor and he says he can't see anything significant but I have a smaller throat and food could get caught or something. I am not happy with these explainations and I don't know what to do. I am due back into the doctor on Saturday so we will see. I am only 25 years old to so I don't understand this.

  • I have the same problem, I 've been having this for the last 6 mos, and needless to say I haven't gone to the doctor. I only have it on the right side, my tongue swells and I can hardly swallow, and it hurts to move my tongue, it is awful, it usually happens right before I get a cold... Hope that helps you, now maybe you won't feel like you are not alone. I just take Motrin(3) and get plenty of rest if you are able. Some days I am not able to due to my kids...LOL

  • Please see a Dr. again and ask if this could be a B-12 deficiency. I was told it was "not" thrush but suffered for years. There is a med. called magic something. I will find the bottle in the morning, so if you'd like email me at deaniecifelli@yahoo.com. I'll do my best to let you in on what I've learned. I am seeing now the best Dr.s in the country. If I can help, please email me. Tell me about other symptoms or problems you may be haveing such as skin legions, scalp itch, etc. Deanie
