I live in Trinidad and suffer badly from allergic reaction to Mosquito bites. I've tried garlic capsules, several topical creams and sprays, antihistime creams and tablets, citronella candles, coils, you name it! Does anyone know if there is an injection that can be given by a GP to prevent bites?

  • Have you tried B1 or 12 complex supplements?

  • My mom swears by drinking tonic. She never gets bug bites, and she drinks two glasses of tonic every day. I don't know if it really works, but it might be worth a try.

  • I have a bad reaction to mosquito bites as well. I react the worst with bites on my legs, usually scratching them until they are severely raw and even after this point as well. My mother and youngest sister have this same problem with the bites. It is very strange to tell people that you are allergic to mosquitoes because they don't believe you, but it is true! Some people react very strongly to the bites!

  • I'm not allergic to mosquito bites but a specific fly that bites. It's called (I think) a black fly. I'm also allergic to white flies. With a black fly bite I end up in the ER. Try and explain that to people; especially those in the ER.

  • Hi all, I also had allergy from dust mites. I used several products for removing dust mites like injections and spray, but none of these gave me desired results. One of my friends suggested me a spray, I used that spray and got awesome results. Now I feel better as I have perfect solution for dust mites. Dust mites

Basically you need at active B complex like Thorne Basic B which contains B vitamins in th form your body actually uses (to get around genetic or nutritional defects causing you not to break down these vitamins properly). The actove B 2/day may be all you need or you may need a sublingual B12 as well like Jarrow methylcobalamin (which takes a long time to dissolve and so helps you absorb more) and extra methylfolate and TMG. If you do not get enough methionine in your diet you may need tyhat also. If you get the methyl biochemical cycle to work you will get rid of mosquito allergies. I have them too and with this protocol I get bites but an hour later they don't itch anymore.
