My friend has something. None of the doctors or specialists are coming up with anything. Her reactions come out of the blue. She is having one right now. It lasts for 3-5 days. Her symptoms include: Swollen mouth, hands, feet, generally every part of her. She can't not eat, has extreme fatigue, and in worse cases can not walk on her own. I know it is an allergic reaction, but to what. She has had about 25 reations in the past 5 years. It is ALWAYS during her period. I have been looking at alot of autoimmune disorders. I have yet to find anything to help this. She is sick of doctors not taking her seriously, and concerned with own her health and safety.
I have looked into this for a very long time, but everytime I think I have something, I end up researching too may things at once. The doctors give her apo-prednisone for help with the reaction, but that drug is very bad for long term use. She is 24, and has seen the allergist, who says they can find nothing, except for her penicilin allergy. PLEASE~ ANY ideas, or stories on this, may just be the one thing that leads us into the proper direction. Thanks! Oh, and she has to go into the hospital to get IV's as she become severly de-hydrated.
