I've noticed the last year or so (I can't remember when it started) that every time I eat eggs I get something similar to heart burn (and I regularly eat spicy foods etc, and I've never had heart burn). It is a tightening and pain in the area from about solar plexus-level up to back of the throat – and it makes me feel like pushing the eggs quickly through my digestive system because something is residing 'up there'. I usually just traded a couple minutes (maybe around 15, or less if I start thinking about something else or commuting on my bike) of discomfort for being able to have eggs - but this morning the symptoms were somehow catalyzed. 1) I hadn't eaten in a while 2) the eggs were likely cooked less 3) these eggs were farm grown by a friend of a friend (but I've had them before - and I've had the same symptoms with store-bought).
I was writhing on the floor in pain and had to spit out the saliva every minute or so there was so much (my body obviously really wanted to puke). I've never had food allergies before - but what else could it be? Thanks for your help.
