Hey everyone!

For the past couple of days I've been having this burning sensation/itch on mostly my right arm. Sometimes I'll get it in my right arm and thighs as well. There are no scratches or anything *aside from this little tiny red bite or mark I have on my arm* but anyways, it feels like a sunburn on my arm and sometimes hurts and burns when I touch it. Do you guys know what this can be? Is it possible that it could be from my clothes detergent? I just switched recently and im thinking maybe that could be the issue? Also, I've been wearing the thermals *for winter* under my pants and shirt to keep me warm and they are cotton, and it seems when I wear that I burn and itch a lot more.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.:)

  • I have a similar problem. Except everytime I find myself getting hot by doing something strenuous, such as lifting somthing heavy, my body starts to tingle and burn. It can also happen if i start to get nervous. The common factor i see is that my body temp was raised slightly, which i think triggers it happen. The worse it starts to burn the more I start to freak out, thus just making it burn even worse. It lasts for about 10-20 min and its one of the worst burning/itching sensations I can imagine. Whenever this is happening my neck, face, back, stomach, chest, and inside of my arms all get really boodshot red and I also get these tiny little white bumps wherever its red (they look like the little white/clear blisters you get when you have a really bad sunburn). It takes me getting to a cool place and relaxing for it to go away. Does anyone know what this is called because doctors can't figure it out? Please help!

It seems when I get hot, or stressed our, angry etc, I start itching. There is pain, and it seems the longer I endure it the more I itch and, as you said, start freaking out. The only way I can get to stop this is by eating some ice(via when doing the dishes with hot water), or cooling off in front of the fan(I have three in my room from this and it still happens at times!). I was looking up the symptoms and came across this, it pretty much sounds the same(my brother has it aswell, but is the only one who seems to have it besides me. So apparently it can be passed through generics): "Cholinergic urticaria" is the name. Look it up. I really hope this helps. I plan to see the doctor, when I get one(<.<), just as soon as I can about this(though that may be a waste of time since it doesn't happen all the time).
