Recently I got a bad case of hives --head to toe-- after eating some pasta with arrabiata sauce at a restaurant. Since I can normal eat all kinds of peppers/spices with no problem, it is odd that I would react to this particular dish. The only other time I 've had hives was after eating a burrito in a mexican place. Again, since I eat mexican food frequently, it doesn't make sense that I only experienced it then.
In both cases, I felt a kind of warm, "glowing" feeling throughout my body before the hives came out, shortly after the meal was finished. The hives shrunk down to next to nothing within a couple of hours, but I'd like to know what could possibly be causing these attacks.
