I have been struggling so much the past almost year with adverse reactions to foods. It all started when I came down with a bad chest infection, after I recovered with 3 weeks of anti biotics something strange started happening and very frightening. I was sucking on a red hard candy and this sudden wave of dizziness and headache came over me. I was puzzled and scared. I had no clue what was happening. But I decided that maybe I should stop eating red candies. Well, that was just the beginning of a huge cascade of events that were to follow. Every day from that point on I began reacting in this way to more and more foods, next it was coffee, then soda, then honey, then milk and anything containing milk, at which point I made a trip to see my GP and he ran all blood, all negative. Refered me to an allergy specialist who wouldn't even test me because I don't get hives. I ended up calling the ambulance not long after that, having partial seizures now after eating. I tried all organic and fresh and I don't know of a single food I can eat without almost collapsing. The ER doctors say panick attack, now I am taking Ativan twice a day while it is preventing the seizures, I am still reacting. I am at my wits end now, can't go anywhere alone unless I fast, even ONE sip of juice and waves of dizziness go through my whole body. MRI, normal. CT scan, normal. What am I supposed to do now?

  • :) Hello!, Seems to me, at least the way i understand it; your exibiting, all the signs of toxic shock. What this means, is this. From the time your born, you begin to ingest vast quanities of toxic substances. In the food we eat, your first visit to the doc's,& all the antibiotics they prescribe. Next would be, consumption of any beverages, that contain some ingredients, that the body reject's. What antibiotics do is this, they destroy the good bacteria in your system+ the food we eat is already "full" of antibiotics. So if it were me, i would start by cleansing your system, to rid it of these foul substaces. This can be accomplished, by first seeing a qualified physishan, that deals in this area. Next is to do what i have done as well; I've had my share of difficulties, so after some deep soul searching, i went to the source. God's only begotten son; The "Lord ***********t". The moment i did this, all was well, as it can be for you. So, there ya go, just follow all of the above,& you "Will" be just fine! Good Luck. Lee in Kent, Wa. U.S.A.:)

  • are you joking? talk about WRONG DIAGNOSIS. telling someone to turn to ****s for their severe medical problem is the worst advice i have ever heard. might as well ask for her credit card number and send her tickets to one of those televangelist programs. if you do feel the cause may be linked to the antibiotics, i would see a nutrionist or herbalist. you could even try chinese medicine. there are many more proactive and effective paths to better health than just praying to the skies. best of luck to you jeana.

  • Hello. Again; i've emailed my responce to "your" statement. So if you were not fourtunate to enough to read it, allow me to repeate it "Do You Realize what you have just done" Well then, i'll explain it to you. The "Bible" states that, with "God" "all" things are possible. By doing the very thing you refer to as ****s not being able to help the afflicted, "You" have commited the highest "Blaspheme", calling "Almighty God" a liar. May God have mercy upon your very soul!.

  • Red FlagYou might have "leaky gut syndrome". This is understandable after taking antibiotics that kill your intestinal flora.Bad fungus pierce your gut and everything you eat goes to the bloodstream, giving you violent allergic reactions.go tohttp://www.drcranton.com/yeast.htmIf I am mistaken about the leaky gut syndrome, well you still have something in your intestines that is toxic and bad because your immune system is out of whack. This is curable in a painless way- just read this site carefully (under yeast).Good Luck!Be well.

Please give the best physiian a working chance, & that would be, The Lord, ***********t. Why are you being stuborn, times a wasting. I already am a Christian. Why do you keep thinking I am anti-*****t or something? Also, I have started drinking chlorella and spirlina, ground flax seed, orgnic liquid vitamins and magnesium citrate. I am feeling a bit better, but I can't give up my coffee! And instead of adding equal I add molasses. Oh yeah, also taking MSM powder 1/2 t. twice a day. Thanks for the advice. But really, I am a Christian!

  • I have something similar. Roughly it's non-specific food heat/exercise induced anaphylaxis. That means all foods will cause me to have reactions. In the beginning I did not have hives, but now they do occur. I will also have angioedema and anaphylaxis. All skin tests were negative as were blood RAST's. I am being treated for "autoimmune urticaria" with a possible mixed connective tissue disease. I would suggest you look at this site to see if anything can help you. http://www.chronichives.com/jDe

  • I hurt my back at work. I prayed and had absolute faith GOD would heal me. each day went by I did not get better. To avoid further injury I went to the chiropractor. He fixed me. Upon a return visit I questioned him about asthma and back problems. He told me since my asthma is caused by allergies I may have leaky gut syndrome. He told me he had the exact same thing and his allergies kept getting worse till he found out he had LGS. He told me what he did to cure himself and I have been doing it and it has helped substantially and I believe it will someday totally cure me. So if GOD does not cure it, he may be sending you in a direction which you may not have gone if he did, and which will enrich your life more than you would have had otherwise. Thank You!TEAM

  • i don't believe it is allergies. i have many severe allergies, and itch constantly. but, if you really think it may be allergies, tell them to test you. they don't have to do skin tests anymore, they do mine by blood tests.

  • Also Jeana,Try using agave syrup instead of sugar sweetners. www.notmilk.com they also have a link to a site all about aspartame and it's adverse affects. You are on the right course, it's a hard one. I am dealing with candida myself as 1/3 of the US has it and doesn't even know! In order to find out I had to get an immuno lab blood work done (almost $500 out of pocket) and was tested for food allergies. I had 8. (pumpkin, quinoa, beets, mushrooms, can sugar, bakers yeast, brewers yeast, wheat) and it has been hard to stay off the wheat, yeast, and sugar. When I don't my face breaks out into hives, I get rashes sporadically, my breathing is tight, and my belly is puffy. Many people are allergic to food colorings, esp. red #40 and blue I think #5? There are great sites and books, they are not mainstream. The dairy and meat corp.s make too much $$$ to speak the truth. We should eat no animal products, food colorings, artificial sugars/etc, and eat as many true raw and natural foods as possible. Juicing more will help too.Good luck. I have been vegetarian and vegan off and on since I was 21 ( I am 27 now) and the healthiest, fittest, least amount of body fat % I ever was when I was vegan from 21-23. Since then I have gained weight and have less energy, have devveloped the canida.I attribute it to the heavy sugar/wheat/white flour patterns I have and eating more pepperoni/bacon/salami/chicken. I do not eat red meat. I also eat salmon and tuna.As of now, I am vegetarian except salmon and tuna. That's it. I am working on giving up coffee too as it is so acidic.Read into acid/alkaline ph balance for the body too.I'm off to get accupuncture this afternoon...living in chinatown has it's perks! Also, as a side note, prayer (or any type of mediation that relies on the same principles) is always beneficial, and will def. help alter your state of mind in healing/recovery....but be proactive and learn what is going on, research, research, research....and use surgery as a last source.

What am I supposed to do now?My goodness you just gave my history! Except my symptoms started when I came to college and stopped eating my mother's cooking. I started developing allergies slowly over the course of months. I had no idea what was going on and didn't suspect allergies. The reason I didn't suspect allergies was because I felt a headache and dizziness too rather than typical food allergy symptoms (eg hives). My initial blood test results were also all negative and so doctors didn't think I had allergies. I also was almost collapsing from fatigue after eating almost anything. I also tried all organic and fresh foods. I saw a neurologist who thought I had panic attacks and so he gave me topomax (which gave me partial seizures) and clonazepam (which gave me severe sleep paralysis). Weird, I know. So anyway now I feel dizzy and my vision messes up almost instantly after eating almost any food. Everyone tried to convince me it wasn't allergies, but I finally got a second allergy test and this time four foods showed up on the test (skin ****k). What I noticed after getting another test was that only allergies to the foods I ate recently before the test would show up on the test. So maybe your allergies are fluid like that and they don't show up on the test because you avoid them. I would love to know how you are doing now because I am not doing so great. I am eating rice and brocolli only because it minimizes the dizziness. It sounds crazy I know, but I regularly test different foods hoping that one day I will stop being allergic to these foods. I am currently investigating leaky gut and think that will show promise. My family has a history of intestinal problems so leaky gut makes sense to me. Also my three siblings have allergies and asthma, although less severe than mine. Any who, please do get back to me.
