I am 19 years old and when i exert myself in ways such as exercise or moving furniture ect. my body will become overwhelmingly itchy withing a few minutes "NO RASH" for all who wants to tell conditions that always show a rash. I will also get this occasionally in a steam room or if i walk from air conditioning into a hot summer day or from a winterday to a heated area. I have a normal bloodcount and my skin has no visible abnormalities. I have tried lexepro to see if this condition is stress related and zertec as a daily antihistamine but neither do more then maybe take the edge off. I have asked all my nursing professors, my PCP, and soon an allergist. I became like this at 16 years old and it never bothered me before then when i played sports.... just now. Can anyone please give me advice on what this could be, who i should see, anything?

  • I've had a very similar condition since I was 18 (I'm 27 now). I actually was on Lexepro from age 24-26 for anxiety attacks and it seemed to help a decent amount, interesting that it didn't seem to help you tho.My biggest lead so far is gluten -- apparently even small amounts can cause crazy skin problems, even with no visible rash. That means no bread or wheat of any kind, including barley, even oats. You can get a full list here:http://celiacsofeasternpa.com/glutenfreedietbasics.aspxStill seem to be getting it, tho, even tho I have quite Gluten for the most part

  • i dont know if this is anything like what you have but im feeling really scared and alone in the world right now. i don't know if im dying or what?i know that sounds athetic and weak but 5 months ago after i got out the hosital for just some seizure check up testing as usual i tried going to gym for an excersize because and i broke out in an itching attack. with no sign of of a rash on my skin. or reaction.and im used to that because i get hives like mad from the sun. and i wasnt getting any hives or bumps. i tryied benydril. nothing helped. and it wont stop. hot showers made me itch too.i thought it would go away if i just took it easy. but it just got worse, soon just wearing tight/heavy clothing had my itch. whenever id sweat, drink hot beverages, blush, get angry. now im sitting here, doing NOTHING, and im itching, ALL OVER my body! it wont stop!!! and my nose is numb from scratching it so much i think im peeling the skin almost all the way off and my scalp is being itched so much im going to lose my hair but i cant not itch because it hurts, burns and is so unbearable. all over!!!i think its like...a virus?!?!?!/i can even make in a day at school, i think about suicide all the time and how this will just get worse and worse and how ill never have a normal life. i just want to be able to live..
