Actual Allergy or just Sensitive Skin?

I've always had sensitive skin, but now i'm 20 yrs old and i'm noticing some more reactions.
My mother has always told me that its a latex allergy, my father says its sensitive skin and my doctor just tells me to avoid things that give me reactions, but since then i've found two more. Rather than play the 'blindly see if things give me a reaction' game, I'm wondering if anyone knows exactly what it is, so i can determine things to avoid in the future.

They include:

Allergy to Banana - itchy mouth, tender tongue, chest tightness and coughing

Allergy to Avocado - Very Bad Abdominal Pains and sweating

Intolerance to Milk

Reaction to most Perfumes/skin creams/band-aids and tapes/some makeup/anything that isn't marked hypoallergenic or dermatologically tested, which results in flaking dry skin, rashes on my neck and face, and rashes and what look like nasty bite marks on my arms and legs.

I'm very sensitive about my reactions, so I end up wearing more clothing to hide them, and living in Melbourne, Australia means that that can be quite difficult at the best of times!

  • Have you read up on eczema? You may have eczema. I have sensitive skin and break out when I shave. But I also get red bumps down my arms and legs especially in the summer which is eczema. I try to keep the areas clean and try to keep the areas from touching my clothes by wearing t-shirts or shorts. It seems it gets worst when I sweat and my clothing touches it.
