  • Also.... For those of you who wash with acne soaps and the problem will just not go away (I tried EVERYTHING!!!!)Try water. Just plain hot water from the tap on a face cloth. No soap No nothing. after rince with cold water to close the pores then a gentle moisterizer (I use olay regenerating night)Turns out I am allergic to face washed, toners, cleansing pads, you name it, i break out within a couple of hours. Stopped using all of it the NEXT day it was going away. Within a week most of it was gone. A month now and for the first time in 12 years I have only 1 pimple that is going away.Try to avoid spending the hundreds of dollars a month on something that may not help.Remeber just plain water from your tap. In the shower even, it works if your problem is the same as mine. (I even had docs perscribing me so many creams and steroid stuff and pills litterally everything under the darned moon.)

  • If you are going to get acne you will get it and washing with hot, cold water with or without water will not solve it. For mild to moderate acne a benzoyle peroxide based cream is brilliant and will usually clear up acne in 2-5 mths. Panooxyl Auqagel is a good brand to try.

  • Acne is the result of overactive oil glands at the base of hair follicles, which are a cause of hormonal changes during adolescence.oily skin can be hereditary, which increases the sensitivity of the skin to hormonal changes. Skin cells can "plug" skin pores causing "whiteheads" and, with pigment, "blackheads." A "pimple" is an oil gland that is infected with bacteria, resulting in an inflamed area with pus formation. Contrary to belief, acne is not caused by eating oily foods, soft drinks, or chocolate. Likewise, acne does not indicate that the teen's face is too dirty. Although there is no true "cure" for acne, proper skin care , skin gel, oral antibiotics, and other oral medications are available to control the more severe forms of acne. Skin Care Scientific research seems to indicate that there are four key factors involved in the acne process: hormone undergoing a drastic change in the body during the teen years cause the oil glands to become overactive.Family background or heredity plays a very important role as well.If the skin cells that line the oil glands or pores are present in unusually large numbers, they tend to stick together, clogging the openings to the pores, leading to whiteheads or blackheads.Bacteria thrive on this oil from oil glands, growing readily beneath the skin cells and leading to infection. This produces redness and pus formation (the classic "pimple"), or in more serious cases, the infection spreads into deeper skin layers and causes cysts. Cystic acne is a deeper infection of the skin and is more likely to lead to permanent scarring.

  • Wow...insightful stuff...let me throw in some simple home remedies for you to try on:* You will need to mix one part vinegar, one part apple cider or any other natural vinegar, and around 8 to 10 parts water to get the kind of safe mixture you will need to cleanse your face with. You can use a piece of cotton or a cotton ball dipped in this solution to wipe off excess oils on your skin as well as remove deep seated dirt from your skin.* Another one of the more commonly used acne skin care recipes that you can create in the comfort of your own home is an egg-white mask. This simple mask consists of nothing but a couple of stiffly beaten egg-whites. All you need to do is beat a couple of egg-whites until they are nice and fluffy and smear them on your face. You will have to let this mask sit for a few minutes or until it dries out, and then wash it off with clean, warm water. Then, pat dry with a clean towel. * Other acne skin care recipes that use egg-whites sometimes use dry oatmeal in the mixture to help draw out the excess oils in the skin. You can use this egg-white and oatmeal combination on your skin, but you must be careful not to use it more than once or twice a week since this may easily dry your skin out as well.

  • I have suffered with bad acne most of my life that is until I started using the 14 Day Acne Cure Solution. The 14 Days Acne Solution was the only thing that worked for me. But to be honest it took me maybe 3 weeks rather than the 14 days. I think this is mainly because I did not stick to the plan 100%. The good thing though is that I am acne free now and that is what matters.
